We are growing & need a part-time helper in The Woodlands, Spring, Tomball & Cypress areas!! This helper will work customer service & deliveries. Independent Contractor status & Commission-based (pay per order)
Detailed requirements:
- Talk with clients when they call you or submit a Reservation Request.
- Take the orders send an invoice to each client.
- Prepare the signs.
- Deliver and pick up the displays.
- Leave a card explaining the details of the rental and Flamingos 2 Go postcards.
- Take photos of each display
- Post the photos on Facebook the same day as the delivery or by the next day.
- Upload photos to our website photo gallery or email them to us
- Send a thank-you note to each client within 5 days of the delivery.
- Keep the displays clean & safe.
- Keep an updated Excel spreadsheet of the Sales & Commissions paid. Send to us every month by the 5th of the following month
Compensation: $12 per hour + Fuel Reimbursement
Fuel Reimbursement: $3.25 per gallon at an average rate of 20 mpg. We calculate distance from where the inventory is stored to the client’s address & a return trip. If additional deliveries are made in the area, we calculate based on the delivery route & a return trip. If you go outside the delivery route for personal reasons, we do not reimburse for that.
Complete Order Example:
- Customer Service with client: 15 minutes
- Preparing Sign: 15 minutes
- Driving delivery: 15 minutes each way (30 minutes round trip & back)
- Distance/Fuel used: 10 miles each way & return trip=40 miles @ $3.25 per gallon
Average Time Spent: 30 minutes preparation/1 hour driving/30 minutes setting up=Total 2 hours per order
$12 per hour=$24 + $6.50 fuel reimbursement=$30.50 paycheck for one order!
You provide your own vehicle
***We will pay your commission per order! As each client pays for their order, we pay you within one day! No waiting until the first of the month for your paycheck!***
This is an “as-needed” position based on when orders come in & deliveries need to be made. Sometimes this can be a challenge because of the non-traditional & flexible work schedule. The customer service side only takes a few minutes per order, and the deliveries may take up to 30 minutes to set up. It is a great part-time position that pays well when you consider the small amount of time worked per job.
